If there is one thing I love more than anything it is taking a spreadsheet and making it better. I really have too many examples to mention and don't have all the spreadsheets available to show as some were specific to the company that I did the work for. But a glowing example I can give you is of the online benefit worksheet used by loan officers all over the United States for qualifying a borrower. It takes all the factors, utilizes formulas, warnings and the like to best qualify a borrower. You can use it as your own tool to see how much of a percentage of your income goes to your house, your debt and other items as well. Best of all, it is online! That is right, an Excel Spreadsheet as an HTML document that can be viewed and best of all edited all while being online! You can print the results, email the results and much more. EQ is an online pricing engine for Mortgage Brokers that is used nationwide. It helps to qualify up to 10 different programs at one time and gives tons of benefit to brokers who can also look at a program and determine all the pricing and credits available for that program. Saves a ton of time and effort which has caused the company (UWM) to reap tremendous benefits.
It all really began with flyer design. When everyone was trying their best with Microsoft Word, I had a secret program which I treated as a secret weapon which was Microsoft Publisher. Of course, now it is a part of the Office suite, but it wasn't back in 2002 and not many people knew of its magical powers. My experimentations quickly became applications for actual use and distribution. It took off from there. Again, over the years and working with dozens of companies, I have created so many flyers it's ridiculous. Here is an example that I did for a postcard sized flyer handed out door to door for an event a church was having.
